Color Blindness- Vision Deficiency
We all see what we want to see.
To be blessed with sight is a beautiful thing. To lose the gift of sight has to be sad. Color blindness- the decreased ability to see color or differences in color, is usually self-diagnosable. Treatment helps but there isn’t a cure. Millions are affected each year. I wonder, if it is worse to have seen color before and lose the ability, or to have never seen color ever??? There are simulators online that will allow you to experience how it looks to be colorblind. I wear glasses but I can see colors pretty well. Having a color vision handicap, seems like it will enhance a higher sense of imagination. Red, yellow, blue or green… what should it be… what is it in your dreams? I am so thankful that I am a witness to so much beauty in life. My father lost his sight totally around the age of 60- due to Glaucoma. He was depressed for the last 13 years of his life. I could not relate. It is hard telling a blind person to look on the bright side of things. I deeply sympathize with people experiencing any vision lost. Rich, is the ability to take a breath each day, no matter how we see the world. True beauty is felt in the heart, not just seen.
Writing as a Refuge
On paper, my mind wanders in space. Time is not measured quantitatively. My refuge is stenciled among illusions. My thoughts take me to places, no words have traveled. The quiet scenery allows reflection on life’s empty promises. A pencil bridges the gap between imagination and reality. Writing creates distance away from the stresses of this world. I live and write freely, wherever my spirit leads me.
Radiating Positive Energy
Just waking up this morning is a reason to smile. Being healthy, wealthy and wise, gives good cause to cherish life. I am an enthusiastic person and yet other people will try to zap every bit of happy out of you, if you let them. Seeing the “bright side ” of things may require some effort. However, if you are naturally a cheerful person, like me, no one can alter your mood unless you give into the negativity. We all have to count our blessings and stay motivated, if we are to remain optimistic. Everyone has issues, but it is how to deal with problems, that define our attitudes. I try to share an ounce of positive vibes to those who are receptive. Inspiring others each day, greatly adds to my Happy-Go-Lucky personality.
Deja vu
How often do you get that feeling- when the situation you’re in, you have experienced before? I am in the same place, having the same conversation, with myself. I can anticipate what’s going to happen next. I will say, how funny I am and laugh, because I crack myself up. I do recall that I am a prophet of some sorts (maybe, it was in my past life) LOL. Some say, Deja vu is a psychological phenomena. I say, I am both sane and psychic. Now, if you believe me, then you are just as “Special” as I am.
