A Mobile Poet

Finding the time to read or a comfortable place to write, can be a daunting task. I used to read the most when I caught the bus and train to school and work. It was a great way to retreat into a different head space and not be spoken to by strangers. I made it happen.

Fast forward twenty years, my routine has drastically been altered… for good (quantitatively & qualitatively). I now own a car and my radio can read a book to me. I spend lots of time writing my own books and reading, wherever I get the chance. I love meeting new people and swapping stories. What good does positive words serve, if they aren’t shared with others? I like having opportunities to inspire people and in return, I’m motivated to continue my flow, wherever I go. The ability to move freely and speak my piece brings me peace. Just thinking… I do miss those long train rides just a little bit.

Love Is Patient

It takes time for people to find love and happiness. We must first define what love means to us and recognize what happiness feels like. Also, we need to separate fact from fiction and fairy tales from nightmares. An open mind and a willing heart is a must. Do not rely on others to make you happy. Be calm and look to God to provide. Love, Mercy and Grace, sustains the prospective participant. Never be too eager to be disappointed. Be wary of pipe dreams. Glittery gold is not always as shiny as it seems. Don’t be a target for romantic conquests. Just wait and see how true love, actually finds its way to you. Hopefully, the time is right and the person is best suited for you. Be patient!                        20180416_155626[1]

She Springs Forth

She lies in wait. She contemplates too much… When to sprout… to blossom. Planted with love and grounded. Cultivated with affection but wounded. Harsh weather muted any sounds. She cries tears of joy. She hesitates to spring forth. Many years have come and gone but she continues to delight. Spring renews during the night and generously graces us with her sparkling sight. We should not take her for granted. Spring makes the earth seem so enchanted. She springs forth goodness, hope and light.
