I'm married, with two beautiful daughters, a stepdaughter and we have a spoiled cat, named Casper. I work in Philadelphia, PA as a veteran Firefighter of 20 years. I consider myself an avid Gardener and an amateur Photographer. Other hobbies of mine includes: reading, painting and doing puzzles. Lastly, I enjoy volunteering with various organizations in my community.

Wearing a Fire Department uniform is an honor. Providing a necessary service to our community is a duty. Enjoying this privilege comes with a heavy price- burying our brothers and sisters.

Thank You, First Responders!

Many Blessings and Prayers, to all of you, for your courage and dedication. In putting on this uniform, you have to be willing to put your life on the line for your neighbors and for each one of us. May God continue to watch over us and keep us from harm. Much love and respect to Firefighters, Parmedics, EMT’s, Police Officers and a special recognition to Volunteer First Responders (You guys are great)! Always, Respect the JOB and take care of each other. Use your tools and resources wisely. Have pride and do your best work. Stay motivated and BE SAFE!

Growing Strawberry Seeds

Gardeners to Flowers are like Parents to Children… They give love and attention to each seed they plant in hopes of its continuous healthy growth and happiness in the world. God and Mother Nature has cultivated this land, we call Earth and the rewards are endless. We are surrounded by beautiful creatures big & small, short & tall, in many shapes & colors. Gardening is a way to create sustainable life in a hopeful environment. Having a sense of direction doesn’t come to everyone. Yes, there are manuals to planting seeds and there are books for child rearing… However, it takes a special person to put in the care and effort to birth something that one would wish to grow pretty and strong. We sow greatness and we reap spectacular results. The amount of time, energy and patience, put into each seed, is often times reflected in what we produce. The outcome of nurture and nature is dependent upon our mothers, fathers and those in the community that foster an abundance of life, in a blooming society. Gardeners take pride in their crops, just as parents should be proud of their children’s many accomplishments and maturity.

SELF Expression

1. I like being behind the lens and photographing nature in the raw. There is beauty in darkness and in the light of day.

2. I think I am cute at times and take good pictures (selfies included). It is not natural or nice to be vain (in my case). Self confidence can be displayed in multiple ways.

3. I enjoy sharing my beautiful personality through my artistic body of words. I post anecdotal notes and inspirational quotes to uplift people… which also provides me some serenity.

4. Everything does not revolve around me, so I do not need to flash my smile for others. I radiate my joy outwards for the feeling that it gives me. As the Earth rotates around the sun, I gain energy from each minute of every bright moment. The marvelous wonders of the world should be seen, as well as the pleasures of life. This is why I try to capture the feelings that are transmitted- through visual and nonverbal creativity.

5. I may ramble with my words at times, but my self expression is vital to my wellbeing. I write to give emotion to my viewpoints. Giving others a peek, allows me to remain low key.

Everyone is half listening
to what they choose to hear-
failing to catch the messages that are clearly spoken by mouths that are hurt by prying eyes… hearts that are spilling truths beneath clouds of judgment and woes of despair… ears bleeding

in spite of fear and terror. The mind is cheerful to release all its anguish.

I love what I do… I have 99 passions and boredom isn’t one. There is truly, not enough time in the world to do all that I hope to do… Not enough space to visit all the places that I’d like to see… Not enough food, for me to sample. However, I enjoy every opportunity to experience new and different things. I am grateful for every moment and lesson that comes my way. I try to spend my time wisely. Little is wasted on doing nothing. There is always something that needs my attention. When the task is fun, it’s a breeze to knock out. Procrastination will hurt any chance to make a difference. Self-motivation is my biggest obstacle. I want people to know that- I enjoy what I do and I love helping people.
