We all see what we want to see.
To be blessed with sight is a beautiful thing. To lose the gift of sight has to be sad. Color blindness- the decreased ability to see color or differences in color, is usually self-diagnosable. Treatment helps but there isn’t a cure. Millions are affected each year. I wonder, if it is worse to have seen color before and lose the ability, or to have never seen color ever??? There are simulators online that will allow you to experience how it looks to be colorblind. I wear glasses but I can see colors pretty well. Having a color vision handicap, seems like it will enhance a higher sense of imagination. Red, yellow, blue or green… what should it be… what is it in your dreams? I am so thankful that I am a witness to so much beauty in life. My father lost his sight totally around the age of 60- due to Glaucoma. He was depressed for the last 13 years of his life. I could not relate. It is hard telling a blind person to look on the bright side of things. I deeply sympathize with people experiencing any vision lost. Rich, is the ability to take a breath each day, no matter how we see the world. True beauty is felt in the heart, not just seen.
